Master of Arts (Biblical Languages and Exegesis)

With a degree in Biblical Languages and Exegesis, you can advance your understanding of the biblical languages and engage in detailed exegesis of the Old and New Testaments. 

Credit Hours: 60
 

I. Core (9 credit hours)
In consultation with the program coordinator, students will choose one course from three of the following disciplines: *
CM 600 Spiritual Formation for Ministry
BLST 606 New Testament Survey¹

II. Language and Exegesis (18 credit hours)
Prerequisites: four semesters of Greek OR four semesters of Hebrew

GRK 701 Ancient Greek IV

Advanced Exegesis (6 credit hours):

III. Biblical Studies (18 credit hours)

With permission of the program coordinator, a student with sufficient background in New Testament¹ or Old Testament² may replace the specified course with an elective from the respective discipline.  If a student does not have sufficient background in theology³, he or she should take THEO 601 Christian Theology Overview.

⁴Students must maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.50 and have the approval of the program coordinator to qualify to write a thesis.
