The Master of Arts in Couple and Family Therapy (Christian Spirituality) equips you with the knowledge and skills to counsel with compassion and confidence. Through a blend of theoretical study, hands-on practicums, and biblical and theological foundations, you’ll be prepared for meaningful and professional work in private practice, non-profit organizations, and other contexts.

The Master of Arts in Couple and Family Therapy (Christian Spirituality) (MACFT) helps you meet the academic requirements to gain professional recognition with professional associations, including membership with the Canadian Association for Couple and Family Therapy (CACFT), the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA), and the Professional Association of Christian Counsellors and Psychotherapists (PACCP).

Admission Requirements

  • bachelor’s degree with a minimum GPA of 2.5 from an accredited institution is required.
  • Degrees from non-accredited institutions will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

  • If you are 28 years or older and do not have an undergraduate degree, you may still be eligible for admission as a mature student. For more details, refer to the Certificate of the Seminary program.

  • The application deadlines for the Master of Arts in Couple and Family Therapy are April 30 and November 30 each year.
