The Master of Arts (Theological Studies) (MATS) program equips you for focused ministry in teaching, research, and theological engagement within the church, missions, or academic settings. Develop a strong foundation in biblical and theological studies while honing your ability to think critically and faithfully.

Choose a concentration in Old TestamentNew Testament, or Theology, and customize your learning through a readingthesis, or specialization track—whichever best aligns with your goals for ministry, scholarship, or further academic study.

The MATS degree also provides a strong academic platform for those planning to pursue doctoral studies. Our graduates have continued their education at institutions such as McMaster UniversityMcGill University, and the University of Edinburgh.

Admission Requirements

  • bachelor’s degree with a minimum GPA of 2.5 from an accredited institution is required.
  • Degrees from non-accredited institutions will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
