Teaching Philosophy

One of my first bible teachers, Wes Olmstead, used to emphasize in class that we do not seek to master the text, but to be mastered by the text. I endeavor prayerfully to uphold this posture alongside my students. The desired fruit of our study must be lives that are profoundly shaped by the scriptures.

Jason Wendel grew up in Caronport, where he attended college and seminary. He served as the College Chaplain at Briercrest for two years before moving to Cambridge in 2021, where he is currently working to complete a PhD in New Testament.
