SUMMARY

Briercrest College and Seminary invites applications for the position of Paul E. Magnus Chair of Leadership and Management Studies, commencing August 1, 2020.

The successful candidate will be committed to the development of great and godly leaders through the provision of faith-based graduate-level education. They will collaboratively cast a vision for the Centre for Leadership Studies and provide strategic leadership to both academic decision-making and widening external relationships within the context of institutional mission and priorities. They will demonstrate high-level leadership experience; have a proven track record of coaching, consulting, facilitation and network-building with church, business and non-profit sectors.

The successful candidate will focus on concerted engagement in the following areas:

  • Significant expansion of connections with external agencies, ministries, and other organizations
  • Development and classroom facilitation of graduate leadership courses
  • Engagement with pre-academic lay and professional leadership development 

Candidates must demonstrate a commitment to the gospel and should at minimum possess a relevant doctoral degree. Specialists from all sub-fields will be considered. Questions about the nature of the post may be directed to Dr. Blayne Banting, Interim Dean of the Seminary. (bbanting@briercrest.ca)

Briercrest College and Seminary is a private post-secondary institution in the evangelical Protestant tradition that enrolls over 700 students in 18 undergraduate and graduate programs.
